Yep I'll be going on a hiatus until I've read the book and gotten over what happens. I also won't be online, but if I have to be then I won't be looking at any communities or friend pages that might spoil it for me.

I won't be going on a real hiatus, but will probably start reading my flist on my no-communities filter the week running up to the book release. Although I have family coming to visit in July anyway, so even if I don't mind being online, I'll probably not be around much for it to matter. ;)

Once I start reading, I'll probably not read my flist for the next couple of days until I finished. I'm actually more concerned with being spoiled by like, the newspaper on Monday than I am about being spoiled online. I just have this nightmare of going out to catch the bus to work on Monday morning only to have the newspaper headline be all "LOLZ SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE" or whatever the spoiler will actually be. ;)

Also, my boss is a HP fan and I have the feeling she'll finish the book before me -- I might have to bribe her with candy to keep her from telling me the end.

I'll be at a friend's wedding the weekend the movie comes out, and will try to avoid any and all spoilers when I get back.

I REALLY don't want to be spoiled for this one, as it's the last one, and HOPEFULLY, I'll be able to stretch out my reading for a few days, because I don't want it to end.

PSST: it should be "No second chances. I'm that sort of a reader." instead of the other way around. Why yes, I did just watch the Christmas Invasion yesterday...

jeez I dno what to do about the book and everything.

I don't even know how to read it yet.
if I read it fast I can keep up with the fan talk,
but then it's all over, y'know, the last book and I don't want to run through it.
if I read it slow I'll be very slow and many will be ahead of me, I'll probably stumble over spoilers since I just CAN'T be NOT online or on lj.. so, I really can't decide and it sucks because the book will be out soon :(

I want to get spoiled for this book, but I'm still kind of debating because I know it's much more fun to read when you have no clue what'll happen. Thing is, I know I'm going to hate the book if Snape dies (and I'll LOATHE it entirely if he really is evil), so I think I'd rather know beforehand. I figure spoilers will save me a lot of time and grief if that's the case, or if it's all good news, than so much the better! :)

So no, I won't be going on haitus from LJ, except for when I'll have book 7 in my hands, reading it. I'll probably read it straight through if I can, and only then will I start poking aorund on LJ. The only book I couldn't finish in one sitting on its release was OotP. My eyes went all crossed, and I was only 2 or 3 chapters from the end, dammit! *g*

I got spoiled the last time about Remus his lady trouble, so I'm going to be extremely careful this time. Also, I won't be ordering from Amazon but getting the book at 2.01 am local time on July 22nd.

I'm already off livejournal (only stumbled here today because someone left a creepy anonymous comment) except for some ONTD every now and then but will probably quit that too soon. But it's not all because of my spoiler-phobia, I have to study for med-school admittance exams (for spring 08, mind you) and therefore have to limit my internet time.

I'm kind of dreading what kind of a havoc the new film and especially the new and last book will bring on my studying. I'm thinking I'll give myself a week off studying to bury myself in DH and fandom.

(Just noticed how long my comment is... This is exactly why I'm off lj. :D)
